Where's the Good Stuff this week?
Friday 9/12/25 roundup of what I've discovered on Substack
‘Good Stuff’ = blog posts I’ve read this week that inspired, educated, entertained, or moved me.
Friends, it’s been a really hard week.
Please be careful out there, and never forget how much you - and all of us - are surrounded and upheld by the almighty love of God.
There was a lot of beautiful writing out there this week, too. Hard to narrow it down, and I’m so grateful to everyone who is seeking to make the world a better place by sharing their gifts.
Hope this helps:
God stuff
‘Death asks the bigger question’ by
. We’re all going to die. This is a scary thought - and it can help us remember why we’re here in the first place.‘Who Am I to Edit My Son’s DNA?’ by
. ‘…human beings are both the writers and the editors. God, on the other hand, is something much, much grander: God is the reader—the being that gives the entire operation its purpose, shape, and fate.’
Church stuff
- . A podcast interview with Justin Mattera. ‘Entrepreneurship is a calling’.
- . ‘Faith, in times like these, is not naïve optimism—it’s shared breath, steady hands, and the will to love each other all the way through the fire.’
Other stuff
‘Your stories: Cathie Caimano’ by
. I’m ridiculously honored to be included in this fantastic blog about running - and the big questions of life.‘In Defense of Inequality’ by Carlos Carvalho. ‘We cannot (and should not) make everyone the same, but we can ensure that anyone, from anywhere, with ability and drive, has the chance to climb as high as they are able to.’
I wrote a couple of things, too!
‘Ministry can be an LLC’. Entrepreneurial ministry can live side-by-side with traditional church. They can even help each other thrive.
‘When all else fails: sing’. Singing is worship - and it draws us close to God, especially when the circumstances are too hard (or too wonderful!) for words.
And finally…
Thanks for putting me on the list!!
