Tech Help: Live Stream Enhancement

Digital Ministry is about Translation

The online space is just like our buildings!
It has properties that
enhance our worship, prayer, and other gathering.

It needs to be constructed, maintained, and embellished in ways that glorify God and support our use of it. It needs to be welcoming to strangers and neighbors alike. Just like our physical space, our online presence can be big or small, ornate or modest, 'state of the art' or 'locally crafted.'

Here's some basic categories and resources for considering this translation work and how it works best to support YOUR ministry sharing
Good News:

1. Online worship tips

3. Zoom How-tos
Here's some short videos that show you how to:

  • How to get started with Zoom
  • Access host Zoom controls
  • Learn about 'speaker view' and 'spotlighting'
  • Play music through Zoom, with video and without)

5. Don't forget your website
Digital Ministry doesn't have to be complex or expensive.

Almost every church today has a website!
But has it been updated for the 21st century - and our current situation?

Your website is your Digital Church Doorway. Make sure it is inviting and engaging...

2. Where to start with equipment/platforms
It can get really overwhelming, really fast! But you don't have to spend thousands of dollars or hire a 'tech guy'. Basic Digital Ministry platforms and equipment can be affordable, easy to use, and help make everyone a Digital Evangelist.

4. Better Live streaming

Use tools like your phone (with free apps) and Ecamm Live (for Macs) to make live streaming easier and affordable. It will look better, too!

6. Think like a Techie!

Like almost everything else, technology is all about how you feel. Really!

If you think, 'I can't do this', it will become harder. If you think mistakes are an opportunity to learn new things, you will become an expert in no time!

We are ALL Digital Evangelists now. It's time to get used to it - and use our skills to share more Good News.
